No, Twilight is a ‘young adults book’ (i’m 13 – doesn that make it weird that I read it? XD) and plus, my PARENTS read it 0_o

First of all, kudos to you for wanting to read. It’s amazing how many people will not pick up a book anymore!

Twilight fans vary from mid-teens to senior citizens. Personally, I’m 25 and became addicted to the series last year. You might buy these books in the Young Adult section at the bookstore, but they really are geared toward a 16 year and older audience. (Breaking Dawn, the fouth book in the saga, has some pretty seductive scenes…but I won’t spoil it for you.)

I say go for it. Chances are that a lot of your friends have already read them. And with the Twilight movie being released in 3 weeks, they have released promo paperback copies of Twilight for about $5. Enjoy! (You should also read The Host by Stephenie Meyer…it is an adult book.)

P.S. If you are going to buy the books, I would try Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco or overstock.com for the cheapest books. Some of the larger bookstores really don’t discount anything off the published price.

After I finished the Twilight saga, I thought I would never be able to enjoy another book! That’s how much I loved the Twilight series.

However, I decided to read “The Host” by Stephenie Meyer, and I loved it. I still liked Twilight more, but it’s hard to compete with something that great. In “The Host,” you still get the same romance feeling that you get when reading Twilight, but it doesn’t hit til later in the book. It’s a great science fiction read that doesn’t FEEL like science fiction (which was great for me, because I don’t usually like sci-fi).

I also read “The Worthing Saga” by Orson Scott Card after Twilight. It’s amazing!
