No. If you don’t read very much, or you don’t expect much from what you read, it perfectly normal. Now, if you were 22 with a life-long love of reading and literature, then yes. That would be odd.
(and it’s not a freaking saga, no matter how much of a superiority complex the author has)

No way! I know tons of adults who read twilight and loved it! My parents and my friends’ parents for a few. There is nothing wrong with reading something that interests you, no matter how old you are.

Twilight was actually designed for adults, Stephanie Meyer planned it to be an adult novel. However it became a huge hit among the teenagers too.
22 years is a great age to read it. I think 12-ish and stuff is to young anyway. I think some kids are reading it to young. But then again it is a young adult book, not for older people (40+) so your age is pretty much perfect!

I’m almost 20 years old and I love it! I even disagree with the person who said people in their 40′s shouldn’t read it. Its a wonderful series about forbidden love that prevails, no one is to old to appreciate that. I’d agree that some are reading it to young though. I met a ten year old at the bookstore who was obsessed with Edward. I could cause young girls to be unsatisfied with their options in boyfriends haha.

No, I’m 27 and am obsessed!! My older sister is reading them also- 34.. and I know a couple co-workers who are reading them- they are in their 40′s and 50′s.

First of all, kudos to you for wanting to read. It’s amazing how many people will not pick up a book anymore!
Twilight fans vary from mid-teens to senior citizens. Personally, I’m 25 and became addicted to the series last year. You might buy these books in the Young Adult section at the bookstore, but they really are geared toward a 16 year and older audience. (Breaking Dawn, the fouth book in the saga, has some pretty seductive scenes…but I won’t spoil it for you.)
I say go for it. Chances are that a lot of your friends have already read them. And with the Twilight movie being released in 3 weeks, they have released promo paperback copies of Twilight for about $5. Enjoy! (You should also read The Host by Stephenie Meyer…it is an adult book.)
P.S. If you are going to buy the books, I would try Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco or overstock.com for the cheapest books. Some of the larger bookstores really don’t discount anything off the published price.
